Thursday, April 4th, 1968 is a fictional story about a group of high school students in the town of Harriston who are trying to figure out how to navigate their thoughts and feelings surrounding the assassination of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

One particular student, Moses Derrick, a senior track star, is conflicted about running his last race as a high school senior on the same day that Dr. King is laid to rest. Family and friends tell him not to run, but Moses knows that running this race is his last chance to achieve his own dream of winning a championship.

Thursday, April 4th, 1968 is a story of perseverance in the midst of tremendous peer-pressure as these young people navigate one of the most tragic events in the history of the United States.
